The Gifts at Dusk

Do you ever look at something in nature and find that it reminds you of somebody?

Last November I wrote a story about a dear friend that we lost unexpectly and nature’s gift that arrived a few days later. (You can read it here if you like.)

Since that day, whenever we see a sunset, we think of Dennis, which is nice because we think of him nearly every day!

I thought I’d share a few pictures I took last night that I absolutely love!

Here’s to  Dennis and the gifts at dusk.

The light at dusk is magical, don’t you think? A nice remembrance for your friend, also.

That’s so nice! Actually, when I was standing waist high in wildflowers last night it occurred to me that I need to publish a photo book of flowers. 🌷🌸🌻

Hi there. So wonderful to “see” you this evening. Thank you so much. I saw your lizards and Sammy today and haven’t had a chance to comment yet. Love that Sammy, laying down snacking!

Guess what? I woke up at 5 am with that headache. Woke back up at 9 and was able to get through the day without one! Thanks for your water tip. :)

That’s good to hear. I drink lots of water and never get headaches. 😘

        • Jessica July 2, 2016 / 9:26 pm

Ever? That’s great. I hadn’t had one in 3 months. :) More water it is!

Beautiful pictures – and the sunsets are a lovely way to remember your friend.

    • Jessica July 3, 2016 / 8:31 am

Hi Sheryl. Thank you so much. I especially love the one with the tree because it looks like it could step back in time a generation. This place used to be a 150 year old farm. I bet someone saw similar sunsets years ago. :)

So stunning … such beautiful memories and you know what Jess, you’re right. You could do a coffee table book with your flowers!! :)

    • Jessica July 3, 2016 / 8:39 am

      • Miriam July 3, 2016 / 4:39 pm

It would be beautiful I’m sure. And it could sit right alongside my coffee table book! Imagine that.

        • Jessica July 3, 2016 / 5:03 pm

I’m going to have to dare ya now! Let’s check it out. Even if we only make two. We keep one and swap one. :)
