Happy Thanksgiving!! Our Thanksgiving Day was a lovely day, altho it was so different without my son and family and missing the loved ones who had passed on recently. I’m overwhelmed with all the blessings in my life….so many things to be thankful for.
PS I got my 3 loads of hay loaded!!!

NOT going shopping today. Daughter-in-law in at the mall in Springfield. Brave/Crazy woman

Today my husband got up early and put our turkey and pork roast on the smoker. LB and I are going to make mashed potatoes, brown beans, rice stuffing (Thanks to Faye at The Chicken Grandma) and some kind of dessert.
Our oven is still broken, which is ok. On Betty Crocker.com I found cakes you can make in a crockpot. Yesterday we made a crockpot apple crisp.
Good for you for getting your hay. I admire how you can drive a tractor and get things done. Sorry I missed your call back. I loved your message! You’re so sweet! ❤️😊❤️
It’s such a beautiful day here in Kansas. Hope you are having one too. I love the smell of food cooking on a smoker. And I love to eat it too!! Rice stuffing, that sounds good. Will have to mosey over to Chicken Grandma and check it out. I’ve also seen some stuffing recipes using garbanzo beans that looked good. Crockpot Apple crisp sounds delish. Gotta stop talking about food. I’m getting hungry!!
I think the shoppers are heading to a favorite Mexican restaurant. I know she will have a few margaritas.

The rice stuffing was amazing. I’ve never had garbanzo bean stuffing. I bet that is good. I didn’t make a dessert and now wish I would’ve. Wish I had some GF cobbler.
What’s her favorite Mexican restaurant? Mexican Villa?
Loved the photo of the clam shell. Brought back memories of my boys scrounging along the river bank to see what treasures they could find. Clam shells, especially both halves, always ranked high.

Thanksgiving went great! Yes a full house. My sister in law brought her widowed mother and another sister brought a friend who had no family around. It was wonderful. Only about 1/2 of the 2nd pumpkin pie is left. I don’t think that will last long. Let me know how you liked the stuffing!
Oh, how wonderful. I love how you have open arms and bring others into your home. Bet by now, that pumpkin pie is about gone! I’m making your rice stuffing right now. It won’t technically be “stuffed” because the turkey went on the smoker this morning…but my kitchen smells sooooo good from the rice stuffing!
