Hey girl. How are you? Thank you so much. We’re at my folks this week and I caught that sun going down through mom’s guest bedroom curtain. ❤️😊

Beautiful photos Jessica! I love the reflection of the sunset in the old windows. I know you are having a wonderful time at your parents!! I miss those days…

Hey girl. Thank you for your kind words (as always). Yes, we are certainly getting spoiled here. Yesterday was especially nice being with them ON my birth-day. Just like when I was all those years ago as a bitty newborn. Mom told me yesterday when I was born I had a pointy head! Isn’t that hilarious? Little Bit and I had quite a chuckle over that one!

I love the sunset in the windows, too. It’s funny where you can “see” a sunset if you’re looking for it. ❤️

I bet you’re really missing your momma, especially with the holidays… Big hugs from me and LB! ☃🌻❤️

Thank you. Those old buildings are something else. Love them.

Only if they are not so cold! 😉

    • Jessica December 9, 2016 / 7:32 pm

Good point! Did you get snow? Cold here. 19 degrees. Brrrr.

      • Dee Gilbert December 9, 2016 / 8:30 pm

        Yes, 6 inches! ❄️❄️❄️

        • Jessica December 9, 2016 / 9:15 pm

          Oh my gosh!!!! Wow!!

          • Dee Gilbert December 10, 2016 / 12:11 pm

Yes, it’s the heavy kind of snow, too. It made driving a little tricky! 😱

          • Jessica December 10, 2016 / 12:52 pm

            Oooooh man!! Hey, how’s work?

          • Dee Gilbert December 10, 2016 / 2:35 pm

Uh-huh. Work is busier. Colleagues never stop leaving looking for greener pastures. How are things with you?

          • Jessica December 10, 2016 / 5:38 pm

Oh I bet. My dr I loved and had for 11 years gave up her practice to teach. I’m pretty good. Have a cold sort of thing. Snot overload, no cough. I’ll be glad when it goes away! 😊

          • Dee Gilbert December 10, 2016 / 6:01 pm

Oh, no! Take plenty of fluids and rest. Feel better soon.

          • Jessica December 10, 2016 / 6:09 pm

That’s sweet! Thanks. 3 in the family, I’m 3rd one up! Ha!

    • Jessica December 9, 2016 / 7:32 pm

Hi. Thanks. How are you doing?

      • Weird Guy With The Dog December 9, 2016 / 7:49 pm

The life of a truck driver…hurry up and wait! It’s OK though, vacation in 4 weeks in the mountains of Maine! Yeah!!! The same town as yesterdays post, Kingfield Maine.

        • Jessica December 9, 2016 / 9:17 pm

Wow! Good for you. I’m a bit behind on reading… At my folks this week.

Your pictures are again beautiful!! Thank you for sharing your view with us!

    • Jessica December 10, 2016 / 2:22 pm

Hi Faye. Thank you. I appreciate that. We’ve been at my parents all week. They live near SW Iowa, on MO side. A couple of those pictures were taken Thursday at my grandma’s farm in Iowa. Little Bit and I had our birthday Thursday and rode up to Iowa for the day.

      • thechickengrandma December 10, 2016 / 2:27 pm

I have probably been past your grandma’s farm and/or your parent’s place on my way to my in-laws in Lebanon, MO. (at least in the vicinity!)

        • Jessica December 10, 2016 / 5:42 pm

Yes ma’am. Grandma’s farm is in the bluffs near Glenwood and my folks aren’t too far from Hamburg, through the country. Bet you’ve passed them a time or two. 😊

          • thechickengrandma December 10, 2016 / 7:44 pm

We have been past Hamburg! For some reason the name always sticks in my head.

          • Jessica December 10, 2016 / 9:29 pm

I was born in Hamburg!! Isn’t that funny? Small world. From WordPress to Iowa.

These days I see a lot more winter sunrises than sunsets – I’m still at work when the latter happens! I’m glad I get to see some of their beauty here at least!

    • Jessica December 11, 2016 / 8:15 pm

Wow! That was super nice! Thank you so much! I’m usually missing the sunrises so I guess we are quite the opposite! :)

  6. Miriam December 15, 2016 / 8:00 pm

Beautiful pics Jess. How are you my dear? I hope all is good and happy in your world. xo 😊

    • Jessica December 16, 2016 / 6:15 am

Hey sweetie!!! How ARE you??? I have a giant case of writer’s block! I try to write and nothing. I need to catch up on your blog…

      • Miriam December 16, 2016 / 6:19 am

I’m doing okay Jess. It’s so great to hear from you, I’ve missed you! Don’t worry about the writers block, we’ve all been there. You’ll find your mojo again. Big hugs xo 😊

        • Jessica December 16, 2016 / 4:13 pm

Good to hear from you, too. ❤️❤️
