I’ve been busy cleaning and the sound of the waterfall was just what I needed! Such a peaceful and relaxing feeling. Thanks!
Good luck finding the rock.
What a lovely post! The heart shaped rock was perfect. I like to think of you and Little Bit traipsing the country together and finding beauty-makes me so hopeful for this world-to know you all are in it!
I could get a blanket on the ground, lay back and fall asleep to the sound of that waterfall. It’s so peace filled, and so at one with all of nature. It gives me a feeling of ‘everything is going to be alright’.
ADORE the heart shaped stone. I so hope that you manage to find it again when you go back.
GREAT photos. Thank you so much for sharing these with us, and especially the video.
Sending oodles of love and squidges <3 ~ Cobs. x
Oh, great idea for the blanket and snooze!! Thank you so much for your lovely words. You always make me feel like we are long lost friends, found again! 😊😊
Hi, thank you very much. The place is quite unique. Back in the old days, families were baptized there. There are old black and white pictures of women in long dresses, out in the water. Pretty neat.
Such a peaceful sound, very soothing. I bet you stayed a long time. I love the heart stone and wonder if you brought it back home with you? Have a lovely weekend, Jessica and enjoy the beautiful nature around. 😀❤️
Rats, I didn’t pick up that rock! 😊😊 I’ll be on the look out for it when we go back! It is peaceful there. There’s no town anymore, but there are some houses and the river draws lots of swimmers in Summer’s heat. Now is a great time to go, too cold for most folks to want to be there. Hope you have a wonderful weekend too, my friend. 💜🌸☀️
Oh, you’ll have to try and find it!! I have a collection of heart-shaped stones, my favourite is a smooth coal black one that sits perfectly in my hand. Soothing to hold. Yep, having a good weekend despite slipping on a rug on our floor and landing on my…yes, you guessed, the same ankle as before. Just slightly sore though!
That sounds like a big hole in my boat! AAAHHH!

Peaceful and lovely. Was there a bench nearby where you could sit (with that ice cream cone)? ;)

I love that they’re beautiful for the eyes and that even if we close our eyes, the sound alone steals the show… ☀️🌻🌸

Thank you. We’re pretty lucky, when we move (getting ready to list our lake cabin) I will miss this place so much. I love Iowa, too!!
I’ll see if we can run back down there and find that rock!! 💜💜💜
