Sometimes missing the memo is a good thing!

    • Jessica June 6, 2017 / 1:30 pm

Yes ma’am, I agree. You even got a chuckle out of me with your observation. 😊😊

Pretty wildflowers, Jessica. I’m always amazed how many colors,
shapes and sizes they come in!
How’s all your moving and house selling activity going?

    • Jessica June 6, 2017 / 4:42 pm

Hi. Thank you so much. There is a beautiful variety in wildflowers.

No luck yet on selling our lake cabin. It’s been on the market 2 months and not one person has been in it to look!! So… our move is at a stand still.

      • sandyjwhite June 6, 2017 / 4:44 pm

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m sure you would like to be on your way ASAP.

        • Jessica June 6, 2017 / 6:01 pm

At first I was upset and mad because it’s not selling and I have half a house full of packed things. Plus, we had all these plans about making new friends, joining a new 4H, etc THERE, so not getting anywhere made me really feel stuck…in transition. But, after a few weeks of that I came to the realization that we don’t HAVE to wait to make friends and live our life.

I decided to join a new homeschool co-op here. We are making new friends here. We are enjoying our house here. Like a lightbulb moment for me. What I realized is I can’t control who buys our cabin and when, so when it happens, it happens. I am at total peace with that now. But, it was a process to get to this point.

          • sandyjwhite June 6, 2017 / 10:05 pm

Moving is SO stressful, even when everything falls into place. And being a control freak, I understand how hard it can be to wait for things to come together.
I’m glad you have been able to move forward.

          • Jessica June 7, 2017 / 8:36 am

Oh, I’m so happy to hear you are a control freak, too!! Ha ha! Well, I finally figured out that being mad about the cabin was making me miserable and time doesn’t stop- so might as well enjoy whatever time we have left here…

    • Jessica June 6, 2017 / 4:00 pm

Goodness, how sweet. Thank you so much!

Beautiful photos – thanks for sharing. :)

Hi. Thank you! Hope you’re doing well.

  4. thechickengrandma June 6, 2017 / 5:55 pm

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!! I am so glad you shared with us.

    • Jessica June 6, 2017 / 6:03 pm

Hi Faye. Thank you. I’ve missed you. I haven’t posted for weeks– brain is stuck. They are unique, aren’t they? If you’ve walked beans like I have, who would’ve thought a thistle could be so pretty?? Ha!

      • thechickengrandma June 6, 2017 / 6:11 pm

I still walk beans!!! And the goldfinches love those thistles. I now leave a small patch behind my garden for them.
I am not blogging as much either…just a busy time of year and yes a stuck brain also LOL.

        • Jessica June 6, 2017 / 6:43 pm

Two beans in a pod instead of peas. Ha. You still walk beans??? I thought they did away with that. Chemicals and such. I didn’t know goldfinches loved them. I’ll have to watch these. We have lots of finches at the feeder.

Oh good, glad your brain is stuck, too. Maybe I won’t be so far behind on reading your posts!! Ha!!

          • thechickengrandma June 6, 2017 / 9:47 pm

A lot of the weeds are becoming chemical resistant so people are starting to cultivate and walk them again. Harder on us but probably better on the environment!

          • Jessica June 7, 2017 / 8:37 am

Ohhhhh. I read something about how the weeds and bugs are outsmarting the pesticides.

  5. Tamara Hoerner June 7, 2017 / 7:04 am

Gorgeous photos!! Loved them. Thanks for sharing with us. :-)

    • Jessica June 7, 2017 / 8:34 am

Wow! Thank you so much! How are you?

      • Tamara Hoerner June 7, 2017 / 8:38 am

You’re welcome. :-) I’m good, tho a bit stressed with everything going on (IE-school/son’s accident, etc) How about you?

        • Jessica June 7, 2017 / 8:40 am

Uh oh, son’s accident? I missed something.

          • Tamara Hoerner June 7, 2017 / 10:44 am

He had an accident. Broke his right wrist and both bones in lower left leg. He had surgery and now has a metal rod INSIDE one of the leg bones. πŸ˜†

          • Jessica June 8, 2017 / 4:34 pm

Oh my goodness. That sounds painful. Hope he recovers quickly.

          • Tamara Hoerner June 8, 2017 / 6:57 pm

He’s off his feet for a few more weeks all while trying to finish school and take finals. He’s in good spirits considering.

          • Jessica June 9, 2017 / 4:15 pm

Thank goodness for good spirits and the amazing healing power of the human body.

        • Jessica June 7, 2017 / 8:43 am

I haven’t blogged or read blogs in a couple weeks. I’ve been researching and reading medical issues/ books on natural healing. I think I read 6 books in a week! Brain overload! Doesn’t leave much room for writing- ha.

          • Tamara Hoerner June 7, 2017 / 10:42 am

            Trust me, I completely understand!

          • Jessica June 8, 2017 / 4:34 pm

            Oh good! :)

  6. Karoliina Kazi June 7, 2017 / 7:08 am

Love it – they remind me of those childhood summerdays sitting in the fields of flowers :)

    • Jessica June 7, 2017 / 8:40 am

Oh my gosh- what an amazing visual! I’m so glad you commented!! Love the idea of children in flower filled fields 🌻🌸. How are you doing? Sorry I’m so behind on blog reading. Love your blog!

      • Karoliina Kazi June 7, 2017 / 9:01 am

It’s probably because we have been talking about that with mum :) I’m really good, few more weeks of work before the holidays. That’s so sweet, thank you – and no worries, happens to me all the time as well!

        • Jessica June 8, 2017 / 4:36 pm

Love talking about childhood days with my momma, too. Yay for the upcoming holidays for you. :)

  7. watchingthedaisies June 7, 2017 / 1:17 pm

Lovely wild flowers. I hope you manage to sell and life flows beautifully for you. 😍

    • Jessica June 8, 2017 / 4:33 pm

You are very sweet. Thank you so much. How are you doing?

      • watchingthedaisies June 9, 2017 / 2:03 am

I am doing much better and hoping for a quiet summer. How are you?

        • Jessica June 9, 2017 / 4:17 pm

Oh, hooray!! I am so happy to hear that. I am doing pretty great. Thank you.

    • Jessica June 9, 2017 / 4:16 pm

Me, too!! Are you back from Canada?

        • Jessica June 11, 2017 / 9:48 pm

I hear ya. I haven’t even been anywhere and I’ve been a bit out of blogging mode. What did the pets think when you got home?? Bet they were excited to see you!!

          • Sarah Ferguson and Choppy June 12, 2017 / 3:26 pm

They were actually asleep when I got home – I don’t think Choppy heard the garage door open or shut, because Schooner definitely beat her down the stairs to say hello!

          • Jessica June 13, 2017 / 3:15 am

Schooner is quite a character!! Bet Choppy was sure surprised to wake up and find you home!

          • Sarah Ferguson and Choppy June 13, 2017 / 12:46 pm

She came down shortly after Schooner. Perhaps Choppy got started first, but Schooner just be her because he’s a speedy little feline.

          • Jessica June 13, 2017 / 2:56 pm

            Oh, I see!!

  8. Miriam June 9, 2017 / 7:17 am

I guess they wanted to come early. Beautiful. 🌻🌸🌷🌻
I was going to ask how the move is going Jess but I just read your comments to Sandy. Sounds like you’re in a good place though.

    • Jessica June 9, 2017 / 4:19 pm

Hey girl, I was just thinking the other day that I haven’t talked to you in a looooooong time. I am on the runaway train of “not getting any blogs read”. What’s new an ocean away? Been camping lately? Still working? How are the kids, Doug, and Harry?

Yes, I decided to let go of the “why isn’ts” and live my life. So much freedom in that.

      • Miriam June 10, 2017 / 1:58 am

Hey Jessica, great to hear from you. Life goes on here as usual, we’re all well, ups and downs you know, but we’re heading off for a big camping/road trip in a couple of weeks time, which I’m really looking forward to. It’s something we’ve wanted to do for years, travelling right up the heart of Australia to Uluru. My job didn’t work out, my boss put an end to that but that’s in the past.
Glad to hear that you’re feeling that freedom. Life’s too short to worry about things that we have no control over. Take care Jess. Big hugs to you and your lovely family. xo πŸŒ·πŸ’•

        • Jessica June 11, 2017 / 9:45 pm

I wondered about that job. You never said much about it again after I tried to get you to quit… I thought maybe I offended you or sounded bossy. Your camping trip sounds divine. Glad you get to go somewhere you’ve always wanted to go. Excited for you.

          • Miriam June 12, 2017 / 2:30 am

You would never offend me Jess! The job sounded perfect but unfortunately the boss had her own ideas. I wrote all about it in Beware of Snakes.

          • Jessica June 13, 2017 / 3:09 am

I’ll have to read it. I’m behind. Health issues. I’ve had my nose in health/ healing books for 3 weeks at least. I’ve only written two blog posts in 4 weeks… Hope to figure this illness out soon. Then, I can get caught up on blog reading I hope.

          • Miriam June 13, 2017 / 4:36 am

I’m sorry to hear that Jess. Hope you’re okay and hope you can figure out what’s going on. Thinking of you. πŸ’œ

          • Jessica June 13, 2017 / 4:49 am

            Thank you❀️

          • Jessica June 13, 2017 / 4:50 am

Getting a test done soon, so hopefully answers will follow.

          • Miriam June 13, 2017 / 5:19 am

Hope so, at least then you’ll know what you’re dealing with. Good luck Jess xo 🌹

          • Jessica June 13, 2017 / 6:19 am

            Thank you.

    • Jessica June 11, 2017 / 9:47 pm

Hi, how are you doing? Thank you. I am a flower fan myself. Thank you for your kind comments.
