I was riding down the road just yesterday and saw this orange milkweed everywhere. It is beautiful. I have some planted in my yard and the insects and butterflies love it. Nice photos Jessica.

Love this post! For years I’ve been extolling the virtues of milkweed. It’s nice to see growing wild, although overlooked. All of my former students were sent home this year with milkweed seeds and zinnia seeds planted in pots, ready for a butterfly garden!

Ohhhhh how awesome that they went home with milkweed and zinnia seeds!! So happy you love this post! I was quite surprised to see this lovely plant there. In fact, as our drive continued, I saw several more of them on the fence rows. They’re so beautiful.

There are so many beautiful wildflowers when we take the time to enjoy them.

Hi. How are you doing? I was thinking about you at this eve of July 4th. I bet 100 years ago there were tons of recipes and picnics. Do you have big plans tomorrow?

I was out in the wildflowers today. You should see them. They are everywhere. So amazing. Thank you for your comments.
