See the cross picture? Look over to the left, in the distance and you can see an old outhouse. The picture with the latch on the door IS that old outhouse.
I love that mailbox, too. We opened it and there were little books in there for visitors to sign. That is what the flag book is. It’s filled with names of folks that visited their loved ones years ago. I thought that was so neat. History in an paint-peeled-off mailbox.
WONDERFUL photographs Jessica. I’ve scrolled back and forth over and over again just to drink in all the information which each photo provides. Truly fabulous post. Love it.

I my goodness, you gave me a rainbow of hearts! Two of my most favorite things! I am thrilled that you are connecting with my pictures. I love each one. The red gate struck me because even though it’s in pretty rough shape, a simple string of barbed wire keeps it useful. The cross is bent, but stately- it’s message is still very clear. ❤️
Cool shots! I like how you do themes. 😎 Great meeting you!

Ha ha. Well, I am still under, so I guess I better not chuckle too loudly!! How are you doing? How is your momma?

Well, that is better than awful, I suppose. Sending positive and healing thoughts your guy’s way. Hang in there. :)

Love love love this! It puts me in mind that we as faulty humans are all kind of “worn but working.”
