If you are ever down in Southern Alabama, Bellingrath Gardens in Theodore is definitely worth a visit.
We went there last night to see the walk through Christmas light display. Oh my! It was beyond fabulous. I’ve never seen so many Christmas bulbs in my life. Every color you can imagine adorned nearly everything in sight.
A winter wonderland indeed, but there was also an underwater scene complete with sting rays, starfish, and sea horses. There were toys, animals, and flowers. The trees absolutely shimmered. Around every corner, we were just in awe.
We had a wonderful time and are so glad we went. What a beautiful way to showcase the spirit of the season with art via Christmas lights.
Such beautiful photos of the lights. I love the trees!!! Love the reflection in the water. So beautiful.

Ohhh, how beautiful are those?!!!
I had a difficult job of choosing a favourite – so I’ve managed to choose two:
1. The Train … how wonderful it is, and I know my Grandson would adore it.
2. The dripping with little coloured light balls tree. Ohhhh how I would love to stand under that and look up, while turning around slowly. Magical!
GREAT photo’s, Jessica. ~ Cobs. xxx

Hello, my sweet one! I’ve been thinking of you. You would have absolutely adored this place. I’m with you- the lights showering out of the trees was so incredible. It almost looked like rainbowy hair. There was a lake with the most beautiful reflections. The train was so amazing. They also had a pair of swans in the middle of the lake and the reflections was a mirror image. They even had lights that looked like life size alligators at the water’s edge!

Wow … I don’t think I would have been able to leave, Jessica. I certainly would have spent every evening by the lake, that’s for sure.
Truly lovely photos. Love them all. ~ C. xx

Your photos are gorgeous. I went to Bellingrath Gardens with my parents when I was young. We were there in the summer where we saw an entirely different kind of beauty.

Oh my gosh, I bet. We could see flowers through the lights and there was a big rose garden. In one building there was a like 10 foot tall Christmas tree made of potted poinsettias. It was gorgeous. There were the prettiest cactus flowers and orchids in there, too. Bet you have great memories of going there. 😊😊 Thank you for commenting.
