Recently, we made a trip to Bonne Terre, MO to see a lead mine from the late 1800’s. It is pretty amazing.

For instance, there’s a lake underground!! On the tour, we got on a pontoon and had a boat ride- underground. The water is so clear and I was able to see old mine carts just sitting down in the water. In fact, while we were there, divers were getting ready to go in the water.

The gift shop was super fun and had those souvenir type things from when I was a kid like lucky rabbit’s feet and pennies in a tiny bottle. How DO they get those in there?? Ha ha!
