We’re lucky. We live by a tiny town with a river that’s part of Ozark National Scenic Riverways. It’s called the Current River and is known for its clear water, movement that flows enough to carry canoes and kayaks, swimming holes, and fishing.
A couple of nights ago, my son and I went to the boat ramp in town. I was able to catch these sunset pictures. What a lovely evening it was.

It’s so wonderful to have nature close by. It fills up this photographer’s heart a million times over.
Hope you have a great evening/day!

Don’t you just love sunsets! It’s the colours that always fascinates me … and you have some beauties here.

Well hi! How are you doing? Is your husband getting well? Love what you said about the colors. Light has a wonderful way of bringing beauty right to us.

[I am behind in Reader …] I love the reflections and this time in the window not the hood. Very pretty!

I’m perpetually behind here Jessica. You are welcome … we have Springlike weather on the heels of brutal temps. Mother Nature is fickle! (That gives women a bad rap!)

Hi. Can’t remember if I replied. Ha ha. I hope I did. It’s been 20 days… This weather is definitely strange. We usually have ice most of February. We have lots of 70 degrees this week… very odd.

Jessica, I would like to revert back to the olden days as to weather, (and maybe many other things as well). We had four distinct seasons and were excited for the January thaw which was a few days, just enough to tease us Spring was on the way.

Absolutely agree!!! Ha ha. This weather has to be so confusing for the plants, trees, and wildlife…

I know – our Robins just hang out here all the time now. Less guesswork and they don’t have to ponder “should we stay or should we go?” :)

Hi! Wish you could see some of these places in real life. It’s ‘make your jaw drop’ amazing. And, not in giant, flashy ways, but in subtle quiet ways. Love that. And, thank you. It was a great sunset. ❤️

I used to live near the Current River as well, and try to get back for a visit at least once a year. It’s such a beautiful place!

Hi! You did? That’s really awesome. What part, if you don’t mind me asking? We spend a lot of time around Van Buren / Winona/ Eminence areas, too. We’re on the southern end of the Current River.

Yep! I grew up in Salem. I learned to paddle on the Current as a teenager in my church youth group and fell in love with it. We would typically float in the Akers/Pulltite/Round Spring area. Such a beautiful gem in our state.

That’s so cool! We looked at moving to the Linking/ Salem area once. Some beautiful places up there. Akers and Pulltite are on my wish list. Round Spring is one of my favorite places. Plus, the wild horses! So gorgeous there. Have you been to the lodge at Echo Bluff? We’ve stayed there a few times. Super pretty there, too.
