About Me

Hi. My name is Jessica. I am an artist, photographer, writer, mom, and wife. I never could just pick one thing I wanted to be, so I am just many, haha.

This blog started in 2015 and has changed here and there. Mostly it is a place for me to write and share pictures. I love taking pictures of nature things like trees, flowers, the sky, rivers, etc. You will see a lot of those here.

It is my intention to share the beauty around me with the world. Or at least, some of the world.

Jessica

  5. “Unmeasured” is the perfect term for your blog. I always want to keep reminding myself that it is all about the journey and not the destination.
It is wonderful to meet you Jessica.
    Blessings,

    • Oh my, thank you SO much for your kind words! That means a lot to me! I really do love close ups. Seems to bring a different perspective sometimes.

I love your post called Rhythm of Color, those close ups and gorgeous pink flowers. I just have to tell you, I am loving your site! The thing about history is, we can all usually relate in some way or another, but I love how you really bring it to life with the old photographs and letters. I’m so grateful that I stumbled across your site. :)

      • Thank you right back!! :) I am completely overwhelmed. Last night I found letters written 127 years ago, written by my great great grandparents to their parents. They are copies, but priceless to what I am doing. I just shake my head…since others writing family history would kill for a collection like this. All I can say is Onward! and hope my children like what I am doing. Keep up those great photos. I’ll be watching. Happy New Year!

        • 127 years? That’s amazing. I read a story recently about throwing away sentimental letters and cards. It made me cringe just thinking about it! Not me, I’m a keeper of such things. What I love best is that our loved ones live on through stories, photos, and their letters. What a gift!

          Lucky kids! :)

  8. Love it Jess…, Now this is the kind of reading that i can relate to, down home stuff just like i would some day love to write, maybe you will understand the way I feel, where I was raised here in Florida we only had dirt roads the kind that you.could leave your foot print in every step you took and it the rain did not wash them away, I bet they are still there.. Good luck and someday you might be real famous..

    • I hope you start writing soon. You certainly have a way with writing. Made me imagine I was standing on one of those old dirt roads in Florida looking at your foot prints from when you were a kid.

Since you, my parents, and some other kind souls already like my writing, I feel quite famous already. Thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate them.

  9. Jess – there’s something so special about being a small town girl… I am one and with an old soul too! You my dear have a true gift to be able to find the best in any circumstance and the ability to shed light on things to make one think hard about where we’ve come from and where we’re going. But most importantly, what we do along the way is what really counts and I love how you bring that into total perspective! You are truly a blessing to many. I can’t wait to follow along with you as you share your gift on this unmeasured journey with endless possibilities that you’re on.
